In Episode 9 of Out Of Production, Nate Doss and Terry Miller sit down with Avery Jenkins, a World Champion whose life in disc golf has taken him around the world and whose impact on the sport extends well beyond his playing career.
Avery looks back on growing up in a disc golf family, life on the road during an era when touring meant finding places to sleep, trading discs, and doing whatever it took to reach the next tournament. He shares stories from his years competing alongside Nate, the evolution of professional disc golf, and his journey to becoming the 2009 World Champion.
The conversation also explores how Avery’s career evolved from playing courses to helping build them, with his work now taking him around the globe on course projects. It’s a look back at a different era of professional disc golf through someone who lived it and continues helping shape where the sport goes next.
