Few events have shaped professional disc golf quite like the USDGC, and Jonathan Poole has been behind it from the beginning.
In Episode 10 of Out Of Production, Nate Doss and Terry Miller sit down with Jonathan to trace his journey from discovering disc golf in the early ’90s to helping form Team Innova and turning an ambitious idea at Winthrop into one of the sport’s most influential events.
Jonathan shares the thinking behind the USDGC, the decisions that challenged how tournaments were run, and his drive to make disc golf and its athletes be treated like a legitimate professional sport.
This is the story of Jonathan Poole, in his own words.
